WRONG

[edit]

First sentence in Formation section is:"The female pronucleus is the female egg cell once it has become a haploid cell, and the male pronucleus forms when the sperm enters into the female egg." So, the entire egg is the pronucleus, huh? WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. Also, it would be helpful/useful to state WHEN the female egg cell "becomes" haploid for the various organisms of interest. At least, those that have been so characterized. Specifically, WHEN does the nucleus of the oocyte in humans "become haploid"? In the ovary before ovulation, unless I'm mistaken. But whenever, I'm betting the "when" is known and can be made part of the article and thus improve it.~2026-92463-4 (talk) 15:52, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
