I think they are different things. One is a technique of doing something, whereas the other is a more technical description of a the mechanisms of a pressure washer. Leave them as they are is my vote. Mincan 19:18, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Another meaning of Pressure Washer

The hydrocleaning and hydro-jet cleaning articles don't have a great deal to say and seem like they're both covering very similar ground to this one - they're all about cleaning surfaces with water under pressure. Explanation of My Edit/Plans on Future Work

I currently work in “ Environmental Services” / “ Industrial Cleaning “ etc

I haven’t used one yet, but the Ultra-High Pressure and/or Flow models tend to be called “Hydroblasters” / “A 3D Head (such as something like a Gamma Jet or Butterworth etc) on a Hydro Blaster”

In terms of TECHNICAL name, Ultra-High Pressure Washer/Cleaner seems fitting and while digging for a better citation will need some work, this product page by Karcher does use it:

ANYWHO

Typically (Short of Deslagging, at least that’s what inhear from a Coworker from Kentucky, lots of coal plants + need to Deslag Heat Exchangers in the Boiler using Hydroblasters in a “Peep Hole” etc (Granted to an extent this may be more and more obsolete due to better Knockers , Explosive Deslagging (Typically detcord is used, although i hear them called dynamiters or something), and just simply Coal Phaseout ) we just use Gas Powered Pressure Washers or Larger “Hotsy” Hot Water Pressure Washers (ours don’t have digital temp readout, but if i trust the dial/get greedy with settings in THEORY they can qualify as Steam Cleaners (over 100c gauge water temp, assuming everything is perfect, and the spray gets a bit dryer if that makes any sense)

I don’t know where the “cut off” is in terms of pressure washing vs uhp pressure washing. I think our small gas pressure washer is 1.5l or 2k psi or something (i’ll grab the info later)

The skid mount version of that (Gas + Diesel using a Honda Motor) was put on a Trailer and that is the largest we have, although we have a smaller wheeled one that can be put on a Stake Body Truck too.

IDK if it is documented anywhere on Wikipedia yet, but there is an attachment used in Oil/Gas/Utilities a lot called a “Line Jetter” that is almost akin to the “Roto Rooter” “Hydrojeters” to clean out plugged lines.

Given the formalities of this site/it being overly technical, most of the info/knowhow of all this i’ll try and leave on the OSE Wiki side, but yeah.

All in all there is TONS of info that grunts like us don’t write down too much about all this, and i want to fix that gap one of these days.
