Requesting a few updates to my page, with sources
[edit source]![]() | This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. |
Hello! I am Pontus Lidberg, the subject of this article. I realise I have a conflict of interest and am not touching or editing the article directly. However, the article hasn't been updated since 2024 and is missing important information such as my current directorship and recent work. Below are some proposed additions, each with sources, for review by an uninvolved editor.
1. Current position Proposed: In December 2024, Lidberg became director of Ballet Nice Méditerranée, succeeding Éric Vu-An. The company was subsequently renamed the Ballet de l'Opéra Nice Côte d'Azur. (Note: the career section still ends at Danish Dance Theatre. This appointment should also be reflected in the opening summary and the infobox at the top of the article.) Sources:

2. Harvard Medical School residency Proposed: During the 2025–2026 academic year, Lidberg was artist-in-residence in Harvard Medical School's Master of Science in Media, Medicine, and Health program, based at Harvard ArtLab, where he taught a graduate course, Embodied Storytelling, and mentored students. To avoid confusion, this is a separate appointment from the earlier Harvard Office for the Arts residency that is already cited in the article. Sources:

3. Honour Proposed: In 2026, Lidberg was named a Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture. Source: Opéra Nice Côte d'Azur, official staff page: https://www.opera-nice.org/lopera/linstitution/les-equipes/pontus-lidberg/ (archived: https://web.archive.org/web/20260801160104/https://www.opera-nice.org/lopera/linstitution/les-equipes/pontus-lidberg/) Note for the reviewer: nominations of foreign nationals to this order are made by separate arrêté after consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and only French nationals appear in the Bulletin officiel des décorations, médailles et récompenses. There is therefore no publicly indexed ministerial source. The honour is documented by the Opéra Nice Côte d'Azur.

I am Pontus Lidberg, the subject of this article, and have a conflict of interest, so I am not editing it directly. Here is missing information I noticed and suggested changes/additions.
Change 1 (opening sentence). Change: Pontus Karl Johan Lidberg is a Swedish born choreographer, dancer and filmmaker. to: Pontus Karl Johan Lidberg is a Swedish born choreographer, dancer and filmmaker, and the director of the Ballet de l'Opéra Nice Côte d'Azur. (Supporting citations are in Change 2; per WP:LEADCITE a separate citation in the lead is optional.)
Change 2 (current position and honour). After the sentence He was the artistic director of Danish Dance Theatre between 2018 and 2022. add: In December 2024, Lidberg became director of Ballet Nice Méditerranée, succeeding Éric Vu-An.[1][2] The company was subsequently renamed the Ballet de l'Opéra Nice Côte d'Azur.[3] In 2026, he was named a Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture.[4]
Change 3 (Harvard Medical School residency). After the sentence He received a 2019 John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship in Choreography. add: During the 2025–2026 academic year, Lidberg was artist-in-residence in Harvard Medical School's Master of Science in Media, Medicine, and Health program, based at Harvard ArtLab, where he taught a graduate course, Embodied Storytelling, and mentored students.[5][6] (This is a separate appointment from the earlier Harvard Office for the Arts residency already cited at reference 29.)
Change 4 (two works from 2024). At the top of the list of works, above On the Nature of Rabbits, La Biennale di Venezia (2023), add:
Change 5 (move an existing sentence). Move the existing sentence His choreography "Roaring Twenties" opened the 2022 Montpellier Danse Festival. from its current position (after the Danish Dance Theatre sentence) to immediately after the sentence ending ...Festival Oriente-Occidente in Rovereto, Italy. Its existing citation moves with it.
Thank you and again, much appreciated. Have a nice day. P0ntu5k4rl (talk) 16:40, 2 August 2026 (UTC) P0ntu5k4rl (talk) 16:40, 2 August 2026 (UTC)
