Patience Harris and Gilbert & Sullivan

[edit]

Patience Harris was the daughter of Maria Ann Harris (nee Bome), the wife of Augustus Frederick Glossop Harris (1825–1873), who established a premier manufacturer of theatrical dresses under the name "Madame Auguste." Under this name, Maria, and later her daughter, supplied costumes for Gilbert & Sullivan's Patience, Iolanthe, Princess Ida, The Mikado, Ruddigore, Utopia, Ltd, and The Grand Duke; and several other D'Oyly Carte productions including The Chieftain, The Emerald Isle, and The Rose of Persia. User:Mikado2005, this is good info. Other than the first night programs, can you find sources for it, please, that we can cite? -- Ssilvers (talk) 16:20, 4 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
