Necessity of (Certain Parts) of the Background section.
[edit]Going through on a quick copyedit, and I'm noticing that the first three parts of the background section seem unnecessary to me when talking about the podcast. GreenSixSided (talk) 01:44, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
- Agreed; Almost all of the information in those parts could be put in seperate pages for Holland and Silvers, or just outright deleted. I'm not certain how to make a separate page for them, though, so I've simply hid the information for now. UnscapeableDeath (talk) 17:44, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
Does this feel to anyone else that this falls into a promotional article
[edit]I will admit that I am new to Wikipedia and so I don' t have good judgement on when to say an article is "promotional". I have read the wikipedia (manual?) article that talks about promotinal articles and I feel that this might fit.
The reason why is because this article feels like it's only giving good news about the topic and writes information that feels that like it's trying to make you want to listen to the pod cast. The paragraph that start with "In their first episode, the hosts introduced themselves as "Sarah from the Left" and "Beth from the Right..." is an example of what I mean when I say that feels that like it's trying to make you want to listen to the podcast.
Please forgive me if I am massivly incorrect about this

- I'm inclined to agree to some extent; there are several pieces like that that aren't useful information strictly about the podcast, especially in the background section. However, removing them renders the article even tinier than it already is.
- I'm going to go ahead and boldly remove them; if the article can't be expanded upon in substantive ways, then maybe it wasn't supposed to be an article. If someone decides I'm wrong, feel free to revert me. CharcoalChalk (talk) 05:12, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Addendum: I actually did leave in the "Sarah from the left, Beth from the right" line because I do think it's relevant background information to the podcast's later tagline changes following Beth withdrawing from the Republican party.
