Hi , I would suggest to delete or modify the following sentences, because they are, as far as I know, not true.

"Notwithstanding Medwin's own claims, the drafts and proofs of the novel showed that this statement was accurate. Shelley had come up with the idea for the novel, as Mary herself acknowledged in the 1831 Introduction, and he had, at the very least, made substantial contributions to the writing of the novel."

In her 1831 introduction Mary Shelley explains that the idea came to her in a dream and the only fact she acknowledges is that Percy Shelley urged her "to develop the idea at a greater length" (p. 5 in the Wordsworth Classics Edition 1999).
