Relocation in Massillon

[edit]

241 used to enter Massillon from the southwest; it now turns east then enters downtown from the south. I found the EIS and a newspaper article from 1983 about the then-proposed relocation but then nothing else about the reroute until 2015 (that article states that it was relocated sometime in the previous 100 years, no help). The change didn't show up on the Ohio DOT map until 2019, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the reroute happened between 2015, that date of the prior map, and 2019, only that the map was adjusted. The implication is that it happened closer to 2015 than 1983, but the lack of search results including from local media has me stumped. Mapsax (talk) 00:46, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
