@Arlo Barnes: Ok, looking at the WashPo source alongside the statewide New Mexican coverage, I'm a little more positively inclined with regards to the potential of this article. I would encourage expanding by a couple more sentences from WashPo and doing your best to prioritize content from the best reliable sources you have. If you can more firmly establish that 1.) this was an organized group with objectives and 2.) that it was notable for its actions or involvement in well-document events, I think we can absolutely push this article to the mainspace. It'll be subject to scrutiny and modification by other editors there, but I'm fairly sure it would fully meet WP:NCORP (which I think would be the guiding standard for a private militia's notability). the logo is wrong the rifles were two muskets with bayonets the helmet had an A on it look at Aron Hawking aka Aron kalaii's video on YouTube with the NMCG shirt and logo in it for reference or the article on the rally in ABQ where our men were photographed in their shirts I designed the logo at home on Roma Ave in ABQ and had the shirts printed off and passed them out before I left for Florida to the national reunion of an organization I am a member of.

Please do not associate your personal identity with a temporary account unless you wish to have your IP viewable to thousands of people. WP:temporary accounts §Temporary account IP viewer user right suggests that relatively few people can see which IP addresses are connected to a temporary account (I can't, for example). Mr. Provance started the article under a permanent account (as mentioned in a template near the top of this talk page) which contradicts CoI guidelines, but I don't think providing feedback on a talk page is problematic. Indeed, WP:suggestions for COI compliance seems to recommend that edit requests be considered primarily based on content, rather than who made the request.
That said, in this case I think a different Wikimedia project than the English Wikipedia is concerned: on Wikimedia Commons there is no conflict of interest guideline, so if the original image is at hand it can be uploaded directly to the NMCG category at Commons. We'd still need an RS to discuss it in the article, however. The image that is currently in-situ is the best I could make out from the sometimes low resolution videos of NMCG rallies.
