Using "La Repubblica" as a source

Do you consider it appropriate to use a newspaper, which in these contexts usually reflects only the personal opinions of the journalist or the editorial staff, and which in this case is even publicly aligned with certain political positions, as a source? Neo-fascism

The party is neither overtly nor covertly neo-fascist, though some of its claims are a reminder of fascist themes and pander to fascist nostalgia. This said, a party can be nationalist, radical right, far-right or even ultra-nationalist and authoritarian (not FN's case, probably), even without being fascist or neo-fascist. I am not sure that this is a category still worth using in 2026. Moreover, there are no third-party sources supporting neo-fascism. --Checco (talk) 20:04, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

Too many ideologies

One problem with the infobox is that there are too many ideologies included. Most of them are overlapping, redundant and poorly sourced. The party can be easily described as nationalist, social conservative and, if you will, right-wing populist. The latter is a categorisation that is quite vague, when nationalism and social conservatism are already included, but it can stay. On the contrary, national conservatism (a mixture of nationalism and social conservatism, indeed), sovereigntism (a vague and empty shell, given that nationalism covers its scope quite well) and Euroscepticism (a policy typically espoused by nationalist parties in Europe, but not an ideology per se) are at best redundant. There is no need to add to the infobox countless ideologies or phony ideologies or, worse, neologisms just because they have a source. Only widely used ideologies, with numerous and authoritative sources, should get in. And, generally speaking, two or three are enough. There is of course an "Ideology" section that can be used to expand the concepts that are just sketched in the infobox's "ideology" parameter.
