Suggested renaming

The page Nanny (comics) was deleted, which is odd since Wikipedia has pages about much less notable Marvel comics characters. It doesn't make much sense to keep the page about Orphan-Maker without having the page about Nanny since the characters are always paired.

IMHO, the best thing to do would be to rename the page Nanny and Orphan-Maker so it covers both characters. Any thoughts ? Psychloppos (talk) 20:08, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved. Though this discussion was lightly attended and numerically close, the opposition to this move does not seem to have articulated an argument as to why the current title would be preferable. By contrast, the supporters presented a plausible case that Nanny and Orphan-Maker are treated as a duo (rather than individually) consistently enough to justify a shared article on the both of them. Thus, based on strength of argument, I find consensus to move the article as proposed. (As identified in the nomination statement, the post-move cleanup will likely require some edits to the article, but I will leave that to editors who are more knowledgeable than I am in this topic area.) Orphan-Maker → Nanny and Orphan-Maker – The characters of Nanny and Orphan-Maker are systematically paired in their appearances in Marvel comics, pretty much like Tweedledum and Tweedledee (comics) or Fenris (comics). It would make more sense to rename the page, rewrite the text slightly to include Nanny's origin and add a different image that would include both characters.   @BOZ: why should we be doing this ? None of these characters is more important than the other (one could argue that Nanny is more important, though, since she's the "brains" of the duo) and they always appear together. See Ortizesp's comment below. Psychloppos (talk) 08:04, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
