@ManoiCMU: Solid article, well-written, readable, sourced and interesting hook, all the standard things are good. However, the hook is a bit hard to understand - could you simplify a bit? Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 18:23, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
@Jishara: how about? ALT1: *... that worshippers sometimes whisper their wishes into the ears of statues of Mushaka (pictured), believing that the rat will carry their prayers to Ganesha? .ManoiCMU (talk) 04:22, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
- @ManoiCMU: almost, but I think that'll not necessarily have people look at the Mushaka article because a lot of people also don't know who Ganesha is - maybe add a word of context on that? Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 10:51, 2 October 2026 (UTC)

- Request to promoter: I would like to kindly request that this DYK be considered for the image slot if possible. I think the image would help make the hook more interesting and give readers a better visual introduction to the topic. I would really appreciate your kind consideration and support. Thank you very much for taking the time to review my request! ManoiCMU (talk) 19:24, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
