Arthur Phillip FreemanMurder of Darcey Freeman – The article as it stands at present is about a subject who is only known for one event, which is the murder of their daughter. TarnishedPathtalk 04:44, 16 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Support move. This isn't a biography. This is about the murder and the trial. DanielRigal (talk) 12:10, 16 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Also, and I accept that this is not a policy based argument, I feel that it is her name that should be remembered before his. DanielRigal (talk) 01:12, 23 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

This article was previously deleted as the result of a deletion discussion. It's eligible for speedy deletion as far as I can tell. --MZMcBride (talk) 00:00, 23 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

That deletion was in 2009. Given that the article has sourcing from after that date, it wouldn't be eligible for speedy deletion. Anyone who thinks that it doesn't pass GNG would need to take it anew to WP:AFD. TarnishedPathtalk 00:03, 23 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because it is not substantially identical to the deleted version. The previous deletion was in 2009. Given that there are sources in the article that are after that date it would not be the case that the article is substantially identical to the deleted version. Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because there are credible claims (above) that things have moved on since the AfD. The AfD was before he was convicted. There has been coverage since. Also, there is an ongoing proposal to rename the article to make it about the crime and not the criminal, which would solve any objections to this being a BLP. I !voted delete on the AfD but I would probably !vote keep or weak keep if there was another. --DanielRigal (talk) 00:48, 23 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
