Has this model been practical in any way?

[edit]

If so for what?

Do we need a disambiguation page?

[edit]

Since MultiNet is also the name of a TCP/IP stack published by Process Software LLC, I think we need a disambiguation page for this word. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Neilrieck (talkcontribs) 12:12, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I agree- MultiNet from Process Software provides multiple networking service clients and servers on openVMS systems. I used multinet on a vax system in Berkeley in the 1990's, and have it running now on a vax emulator VM. OpenVMS may be mainly of historical interest, but I understand there are quite a few systems running in niche environments where extremely high reliability is required or the companies were unwilling to invest the resources to re-develop their applications to run on newer systems.
