Could anyone give a trustworthy to the bit about the Muff Diving Club. It seems like a scam. Peter Mulvany 13:39, 27 February 2015 (UTC)  Preceding unsigned comment added by Mulvany (talkcontribs)

See Wikipedia:Bad_Jokes_and_Other_Deleted_Nonsense For years people have been relentlessly posting stuff about "Muff diving" to this page. The current revision claims "Because of the village's proximity to a beach, it is a popular destination for diving" in reality the nearest beach is in Stroove 29.5 Km away ! The "Muff Diving Club" T-shirts are real enough but these appear to be mere novelty items. 5.80.168.21 (talk) 17:54, 18 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

migration from Northern Ireland

[edit]

Article claims population is rising because people are migrating to Muff from the UK (Northern Ireland). Is there any source for that? Frenchmalawi (talk) 18:17, 19 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Should be possible to determine from census data (cso.ie) even without census data is a fairly plausible assertion given its proximity to the border. Of more concern (from the POV of article accuracy) is the reference to the place being (in 1925) a "Protestant village" without any demographic data from either 1925 or today ? 5.80.168.21 (talk) 17:59, 18 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
