Multilingual toponym
[edit]Hi @Plumbago Capensis, I wonder if the Italian and French version of this toponym is pertinent here. "Monte" and "Mont" are just generic terms which do not even appear on the Aosta Valley official website, while the toponym is "Château Blanc" only. I would delete it, what do you think? A different case is when the toponym contains a preposition, which may significantly change from one language to another, e.g. Rutor Glacier. Simoncik84 (talk) 16:49, 18 July 2026 (UTC)
- Ciao @Simoncik84! I am unsure, as even the website you linked alternates between including Mount (or even Monte?) and omitting it Plumbago Capensis (talk) 22:10, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Plumbago Capensis! I raised this question on wp:fr here. Can you understand French? If yes, in this discussion I explained my pov, but I can translate it into English if needed. Simoncik84 (talk) 11:33, 22 July 2026 (UTC)
