Hi there, I'm the one that put the notability tag on the article. Please try not to take it personally - for all I know Moshe Davis could easily fulfil Wikipedia's notability criteria. Reading the biography that you linked to, it looks like he was a well respected scholar, but I'm afraid just being a university professor is not enough to guarantee notability (see Wikipedia:Notability). Really, you need to show why other people thought he was notable, providing a reliable source to back your statement up. I have a feeling that this will probably be easy if you stick to his theories, but I don't know the subject area so I can't provide this info myself. I've gone ahead and moved you to the cutting edge in reference technology. Your references are now all Harvard-style, using citation templates. The syntax can be a little difficult if you're not used to it, but it makes adding references very easy, and it doesn't take much space in the article text when you're editing. Plus you get the cool wikilinks so you can jump straight to the source from the notes. For help on using it, see this page for examples. For reference, the style to use in the article text can be found on the Template:Harvnb page, and the style to use in the References section can be found at Template:Citation. Specifically, see Template:Cite book, Template:Cite journal and Template:Cite web for common examples. For other types of references, find the appropriate template at Category:Citation templates.
