Are IRL photos even necessary? Can we use textbook illustrations?
[edit]Wikipedia has no age restrictions to see. I'm no prude, but I'm also no pervert (straight, married 31F), and while I want my future son to enjoy his teenage years, I can't in my right mind let him go to Wikipedia to see this, especially too young.

Current misiditentifications of the mons pubis as male genitalia
[edit]I've noticed that many people seem to misidentify the mons pubis as male genitalia. This is often in conjunction with calling those women trans women incorrectly. I don't know if this is a prominent enough issue to be mentioned in this article but it seems especially common with right-winged people looking to attack trans women on social media (especially on X/Twitter). Because of this many cis women have been harassed and called transphobic slurs even though all they have are prominent mons pubises. Please let me know if I should add this to the article or just keep it here in the talk page! Emilej01 (talk) 21:11, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
- As always, WP:MEDRS is required before any such addition. “Personally noticing” something, or any unsubstantiated aspersions about any groups, have no bearing on, or place in, any WP article. And, please always be careful to delineate between biological sex and gender; gender, including transgenderism, largely is irrelevant in articles such as this one which discuss anatomical structures (excepting, of course, sections specifically focused on gender issues).
