This article is sourced mainly by election manifesto, BBC Radio Jersey website news and the Jersey Evening Post, the main newspaper for Jersey. No personal information about the individuals family - even if it appears on the manifesto, and is therefore in the public domain - is mentioned here in order to preserve privacy. --TonyinJersey 09:47, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have the 1997 and 1998 Jersey Masonry Yearbook, and Mike Vibert is not listed as a freemason there. I do think it might be relevant, on the grounds that the 1987 Who's Who in the Channel Islands lists clubs and freemasony membership as part of the "picture" of individuals that it gives, and is therefore a non-POV and public domain information - contributors were happy to give details to the publication, which they thought significant in their lives (rather than it being dug up "against them").

So the "freemasonry" information would therefore be relevant if true, as it could be of as importance to the individual as their religion, especially if they held significant offices within it. However, in Mike Vibert's case, the evidence I do have (like with Philip Bailhache) is entirely negative, and I can only conclude that it is one of these baseless accusations which have no place in an encylopedia of facts.
