It would be good to have an explanation of why the Nicetown plant closed and why the takeover by Heppenstall, and how much is left of Midvale (just the name ?)Rcbutcher (talk) 06:21, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Regarding why the 1950s merger with Heppenstall and why the 1970s Nicetown closure, I would say it was all part of the same larger gradual trend that later killed Bethlehem Steel—a large, complicated story of how the steel industry has continually morphed over the decades. Regarding how much is left, I would say you're correct—only the name, in the business-world sense. Plus whatever historical information and artifacts remain, in the social sense.  ¾-10 21:16, 7 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
