Dornberger association

[edit]

Paine's having worked uner Walter Dornberger is not contentious and quite notable, especially in view of Dornberger's résumé. But we'll get back to this later. Whiskey Pete 19:28, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

On the Dornberger "association": Dornberger was a rocket and space systems engineer who worked at the Bell Buffalo plant, known to be associated with the Air Force Dyna-Soar spaceplane project. Bell Textron in Fort Worth built helicopters; Dornberger had no professional qualifications for such work, and I have not found any information he ever lived in Texas. The only sources that claim a link between Dornberger and Paine (aside from the fact that they both worked for Bell) are by conspiracy theorists, and I have found no evidence that such a link exists.

I am currently trying to coax information out of Bell Helicopters on the matter, though it's not easy -- I used to work for a big corporation, and it's hard to get a big dinosaur to pay attention to one's little self. In the meantime, does anyone actually know any specifics about Dornberger's career with Bell? Did he ever work in Texas? Did he ever have anything to do with the Bell Textron division? Minox discussion

[edit]

This section is poorly written and comes out of nowhere. It either needs a section to properly identify the issues or be removed. It doesn't make sense as is

One issue is whether the Minox camera found in the Paine garage belonged to Lee Oswald or to Michael Paine. Another issue is what activities Lee Oswald and Michael Paine had in common, given Michael Paine's statement to Frontline (Who Was Lee Harvey Oswald?, PBS) that he and Lee Oswald shared unspecified interests. 2600:4040:904C:1F00:2558:EE35:4748:3F59 (talk) 15:30, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

I agree and have removed it in the course of editing the whole thing. Yngvadottir (talk) 21:46, 17 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
