Thank you for an interesting historic biography, on fine sources, no copyvio obvious. I am not yet happy with the hook. Many readers will not even know Liechtenstein ;) - why make wanting and lasting in an undesirable job the only thing we say about him? If you want it, can we word it differently (because the construction "applied for ... served as" takes too long for me to understand for what)? - Why no image? Not needed for approval but a suggestion: how about having a section "Personal life" for marriage and death, which come like an appendix? @Gerda Arendt: I disagree. The role of Landvogt was previously an undesired post and Menzinger was the first person to actively seek it. I find that very interesting. TheBritinator (talk) 23:38, 25 December 2025 (UTC)

@Gerda Arendt: Here's a picture that could be included with the hook (it isn't everyday there's an opportunity to put a photo of a Liechtensteiner on the main page!) Also here's another ALT I came up with, ALT2 ... that Michael Menzinger (pictured) was the first person to apply for Landvogt of Liechtenstein, a previously unwanted position which officials "wanted to leave as soon as possible"? (I'm fine with the other alt, but I like how the quote emphasizes just how unwanted the position was.) BeanieFan11 (talk) 19:22, 26 December 2025 (UTC)

I like the image, but less so to go into greater detail on the unwantedness. Better say somehow that he lasted 28 years, but not the years before the post. I'm busy or would try myself. We also need (pictured) in wanted hooks. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:06, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
