Use of firearms

This paragraph appears contradictory. Did the contributor mean to say that "Maltese police officers do not normally carry firearms while on standard patrol". Could someone with knowledge of the subject please clarify this?

- It was changed by IP 92.251.16.73 without any explanation on 11 August. I have reverted the edit. Nick Cooper (talk) 11:58, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
