Class or individual loco

[edit]

Is this article about a class (series) of locomotives or just an individual? Railwayfan2005 (talk) 17:33, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The 424 is a class, hundreds of them were manufactured. 91.82.38.196 (talk) 14:44, 10 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

High origin

[edit]

It is somewhat notable that the son of regent Miklos Horthy, who was governor of Hungary between 1920-1944, worked on the design of the 424 series steam loco as an assitant. Istvan Horty graduated from the Budapest Technical University (BME) and worked on the design of surface vehicles before making a career as a pilot. He died during WW2 in a figher plane. 91.82.38.196 (talk) 14:50, 10 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Other Examples

[edit]

I know of one example in the railroad museum ain Ljubljana, Slovenia (http://www.burger.si/MuzejiInGalerije/ZelezniskiMuzej/), and there is another in Belgrade, Serbia. All of these locomotives are painted blue, in the livery of the Blue Train, Josip Broz "Tito"'s "personal" train, which is also not mentioned in this article but propably should be.

Sources are required but i think we can add some stuff here.
