– Originally, Lorelei Lee was a character in a 1925 comic novel. There was then a popular 1949 Broadway musical based on the novel that introduced Carol Channing in the role. Then Marylin Monroe famously played that character in a very famous 1953 film. The character is a showgirl, so Lorelei Lee (actress)Lorelei Lee (actress) seems ambiguous enough that it should probably not redirect to the "performer" article. Currently the base name is used for the professional wrestler, but it is clearly misplaced because there is also the "performer" article that gets about 7 times as many pageviews as the wrestler article. Also, professional wrestlers are performers, so "performer" is ambiguous. The "performer" article was moved from Lorelei Lee (actress)Lorelei Lee (actress) on 6 January 2025 out of concern for the performer being non-binary. Both the wrestler and the "performer" are presumably named after the fictional character. Considering the fictional character topics, I suspect the "performer" isn't a proper WP:PRIMARYTOPIC either, so I suggest that Lorelei Lee become a disambiguation page. —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 01:20, 10 August 2026 (UTC)

As for 2, I'm a bit surprised by the proposed disambiguation tag (pornographic film performer), given that User:BarrelProof is trying to standardize such tags as (pornographic film actor) in another RM discussion. I note that the subject of this article is non-binary, but AFAIK "actor" can be used as a gender-neutral word, yes? 162 etc. (talk) 05:28, 10 August 2026 (UTC)
