You make a good point, it would be good for the wiki page on limbo dancing to explain the science/physics/biology??? behind how it is possible for the human body to limber so low off the ground. The world's record is 6 inches. To break it, the distance from the back of your head to the tip of your nose has to be less than 6 inches. It helps to have less weight in the head, shoulders and chest. Also more weight in the calves, knees, and thighs.
Are there any official "Rules of the Game"?
[edit]Hi, in German media there is an ongoing discussion about the rules/techniques of the Limbo dance (or it only a party game, after all)? This might well explain the spike in page views this article currently enjoys. Explanation: On a famous live TV game show, a candidate claimed that per Wikipedia, the goal of the limbo dance was to move under a bar without the hands or butt touching the ground. Knees would be allowed, and she ended up winning a trip to Hawaii by robbing under the bar on her knees. Good point, if the wiki page on limbo dancing doesn't contain some idea of the rules re the limbo dance it should.
