1. Well-written and 3. Broad
- She attended Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Maryland where she led the school's.. Add a comma after "Maryland"
Done Comma added.
- ...she led the school's basketball team to a Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship; she scored a team-high 13 points in the championship game. Do we know what year this was?
Done I found a source that included the year.
- In the paragraph on her time at Pittsburgh, were there any notable games/results? For example, did she play in any NCAA tournaments for them? It would make this section more interesting to read rather than just listing statistics.
Done Pittsburgh did not qualify for the NCAA tournament during King's time there, but I added 1–2 standout performances for each of her seasons with the Panthers.
- I would combine the Early life and Personal life sections unless there's more to add to the Personal life.
Done Combined.
2. Verifiable
The reference layout looks good, and the sources are reliable. Earwig's looks clear for obvious copyright violations. Spot check: 4, 6, 9, 12, 14, and 18 all support the information without plagiarizing.
- Optional: Add archived links to the web-based sources to combat link rot.
Done This is actually my first time doing this, so hopefully it looks okay.
4. Neutral
The article's tone is neutral, and opinions are properly attributed.
5. Stable
I looked through the talk page and edit history to verify there are no ongoing edit wars/content disputes.
6. Illustrated
The one image used is tagged with its copyright status. It is relevant and has a suitable caption.

Passes DYKcheck and copyvio check, hook looks good and is interesting and is backed by a WP:RS. Article was promoted to GA status on 4 August 2025 and submitted as a DYK on 7 August 2025, so within the 7-day limit. Article is in great shape! No QPQ needed. @OceanGunfish and CaptainAngus: Is this unusual enough for WP:DYKINT? I suspect most athletes played more than one sport as a child... ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 16:23, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi AirshipJungleman29, I thought a female player of American football would be rather unusual. OceanGunfish (talk) 17:22, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
- That distinction was lost on me, as it probably would be for nearly all non-Americans who aren't aware that American football isn't really played by women. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 18:04, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
- I have added some context to the article with a couple more sources. Would this phrasing be better?

- (Sorry, forgot the ping: AirshipJungleman29) OceanGunfish (talk) 20:21, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
- The distinction went over my head as well, but I think the updates OceanGunfish made help--I'm good with both ALT1 and the changes made to the article. CaptainAngus (talk) 01:36, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi AirshipJungleman29, sorry to ping you again. Does this look okay now? OceanGunfish (talk) 23:02, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
