The ferrari section is highly outdated and i dont believe has been edited since the 2025 season, surely should have some mention of his good start to the season and his first 3 podiums with the team ~2026-33841-23 (talk) 21:03, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
as far as I can tell the conversation ended with no solution. It seems if Alonso is worthy of a section for the 2007 season then Max should have a section based on the 2021 season. Hamiltons "rivalry" with Vettel is worthy of a section, but not Max makes zero sense. ~2026-47794-89 (talk) 05:51, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
The previous discussion really just seems to have fizzled out without a consensus either way. I think keeping multi-season rivalries as the alleged threshold for inclusion (as was suggested in that discussion) is quite arbitrary when Alonso has been included for 2007 alone.
The Verstappen-Hamilton has been referred to as one of the greatest in Formula 1 history consistently (See: AutoSportThe GuardianBBCESPNFormula 1TopGear). I think that alone warrants some mention of it in this section. Hamilton himself also refers to it as a rivalry. Furthermore, if you look at how the media has characterised their relationship over the years, it has been explicitly written of as one of "rivals" (and this is just from a quick google search, there's probably more articles like this if we actually started looking):
2021:
2022:
2023:
2024:
2025:
2026:
So we need to decide what the standard really is here. If it's that we're only including multi-season battles, Alonso should be removed. If it's that "secondary, independent sources list and discuss it as a notable rivalry" as suggested here, then Max should be included because there is ample written about it by the media.
TLDR: The independent secondary sources do regard it as a notable rivalry. It's ranked 7th and in the top 9 in two different lists spanning 6 years. Several sources call it "the greatest" or one of the greatest in the sport. It has consistently been referred to as a rivalry between 2021 and 2026. At the very least this discussion needs to be reopened and the decision should be reevaluated. MadelynnSienna (talk) 11:03, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
