Blue lettuce seeds

so the picture of lettuce seeds that are blue seems to be very fake. or at the very least misleading without any comments of coating or colouring.

If it's not fake then I'd love to see a bit of explanation of why it's not with a source. it would be a great fun fact Flattis (talk) 18:51, 21 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

As a featured article, images and facts for lettuce seeds should be verified, with both the KEW and USDA sources identifying the seeds as brown (or white to gray) in color. Asking Pascal Kings for the background on why blue seed images are on Wikimedia Commons.
