Phylogeny update?

Lead concerns
[edit]@Hemiauchenia, I noticed that with the edits you've made to the lead, the last paragraph is now quite long, and includes some information redundant to the rest of the lead (e.g. describing Archaeoindris twice). Would you be able to go through the lead to ensure it conforms to MOS:LEAD at an FA level? Sdkb talk 01:48, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
lemuria?
[edit]Sbouldnt there be a mention somewhere about how the myth of Lemuria is named after them? ~2026-94095-7 (talk) 23:13, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
I am reviewing this article as part of WP:URFA/2020, and initiative to review Wikipedia's oldest featured articles. When skimming through this article, I noticed that it was quite long, with a script saying that it is over 13,000 words. This is larger than what is recommended in WP:AS and WP:TOOBIG. I think there are lots of opportunities to spin out and reduce prose so that this article can be more focused and serve as an introduction to the species. Sections where this can be considered include "Taxonomic classification and phylogeny" into Taxonomy of lemurs, spinning out "Anatomy and physiology", "Behaviour", "Research" and "Conservation". A copyedit of the article might also find some reduction in prose by summarising information more succinctly. There are also a couple of uncited statements and some outdated statements that might need to be updated.
I'm going to add this to WP:FARGIVEN. Is anyone interested in taking a closer look to try to resolve some of these concerns? Z1720 (talk) 16:15, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
