Htangan language → Leinong language – Official ISO 639-3 name is: Leinong Naga

Leinong, not Htangan, is used in all recent publications, including Wayesha, etc. — Stevey7788 (talk) 08:06, 14 June 2018 (UTC) — Stevey7788 (talk) 08:06, 14 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Leinong is not the spelling used in all the sources. Lainong language seems a valid alternative spelling, per Anui Sainyiu (31 Oct 2022). "Lainong: A threatened language in Myanmar" (PDF). Leinong language → Lainong language – The correct spelling used by native speakers and recent academic publications is "Lainong" rather than "Leinong". The move is currently blocked because a page under the target name already exists. Hills Son (talk) 13:54, 18 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Support. Glottolog performed this move two years ago with the same reasoning. Kisseran (talk) 10:13, 23 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
