LaLiga Competition logos

[edit]

I have uploaded again to Wikimedia Commons the logos with the highest resolution. These logos correspond to the competition itself (they are not the logos of La Liga as an institution) but of the Primera División (LaLiga EA Sports).

I tried to place the new logos in this article and in the Second Division article and they were removed. As can be seen in the attached brand evolution chart, the logo provided is appropriate for the competition. Please restitute it. Thank you very much

There are different logos of LaLiga, there is the institutional logo that is used by Liga Nacional de Futbol Profesional and the logos of the competitions (Primera División or La Liga), and the logo of Segunda División (LaLiga Hypermotion). You can see the correct logos in LaLiga's website: https://www.laliga.com/sala-de-prensa/logos-e-identidad-corporativa/logos

I replace again the correct logo. This logo is the one used in the competition and in every Primera Division match, please do not delete it again, thank you very much.--AraceliLaLiga (talk) 09:30, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

"Commonly known as Primera División"

[edit]

In the lead, it states "commonly known as Primera División". Is that true? I've never really heard this being common for La Liga. MicroX (talk) 00:43, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

This is a bit old, but since no one bothered to answer, yes, the Spanish news call it Primera División when needed to differentiate from other leagues (most notably Segunda and Primera Federación) Goodlucksil (¿Need something?) 19:05, 31 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
