Curious as to how there are no entries on this page yet? I am a bit skeptical about this case of valor actually. If you dive on a grenade you are going to try and put your chest plate on it as to actually stop the blast, just second nature actually. If you do that, it is almost a sure thing that the shrapnel will go toward your extremities (both arms and legs. He, however, had no injuries to his lower extremities.
