Deletion of Twitter EL

[edit]

An editor just deleted a Twitter EL on this page. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kyle_Beckerman&diff=849382385&oldid=849382268

It is normal for pages such as this one to have a twitter EL. WP has tens of thousands of such pages.

And see WP:ELOFFICIAL. This is an official link, in that "An official link is a link to a website or other Internet service that meets both of the following criteria:

The linked content is controlled by the subject (organization or individual person) of the Wikipedia article.
The linked content primarily covers the area for which the subject of the article is notable.

Twitter pages that are under the control of the subject are considered to meet this standard for EL sections.

They fall into the "a link to an official page of the article's subject" exception, that is allowed in ELs.
