Contradict in the text
[edit]In the history section, it is said in persian and arabic sources, kurds is said for “ northwestern “ iranians, or “ western “ part of iran. While the text also later says kurds are mentioned in fars, khorasan, seistan. We know from hamza isfahani, that persians called daylamites of tabaristan ( north of iran ) and arabs of assyria ( Mesopotamia) as kurds. So “ northwestern “ or “ western “ of iran is incorrect, it was not only used for iranians, but for all ethnics and it was not only for western or northwestern people, as the page included a letter of ardawan iv to ardeshir ( which this part is incorrect too, the source of this letter is islamic/arabic history books, not karnamag itself, but its said under the karnamag ) as being raised in tents of kurds, while ardeshir lived in pars. Therefore it couldn’t be only northwestern, it included southwestern - south, north, northeastern, southeastern ( like bassam the kurd, one of the early new persian poets, which was from seistan ) too. ~2026-46909-73 (talk) 18:45, 29 August 2026 (UTC)
- Also, i think the translation of the ardawan letter is wrong, its which means “ o kurd “ not “ son of a kurd “. ~2026-46909-73 (talk) 19:56, 29 August 2026 (UTC)
History section
[edit]It's way too long! Quite an article on itself, or even longer than quite a few articles. It should be shortened enough, down to a set of summaries, as we already have a whole article that covers Kurdish history. The "Islamic conquest" subsection in particular stands out to me in its length and depth; we should either summarize it first or split it into subsubsections.
Look at the other sections—especially the ones that forecome it, namely Religion, Population, and Language—they are proper summaries, leaving their respective underlinked main articles to explain all the left-out details. Even the Culture section, which is also very detailed, isn't as excessively texty as History: it rather summarizes each aspect of Kurdish culture without overexplaining any, and each subsection has a "Main article" link in case the reader wishes to learn more; that's how it should be for History as well. ~ bytekast [talk • cont • logs] 16:08, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
Incorrect information
[edit]“Turkey's Central Anatolian Kurds (these spread through Eastern Anatolia in 1923 following the Armenian genocide in what was then Western Armenia)”
Central Kurds were displaced there in the 1500’s and 1600’s. The Armenian genocide took place hundreds of years later. This statement makes no sense. Western Armenia isn’t part of Konya or Ankara? Can someone please fix that line. ~2026-51866-96 (talk) 16:45, 26 September 2026 (UTC)
