No official bans were imposed on country music, bluegrass, or the Beatles in the USSR. You yourself write about the performances of various country groups back in the 70s. You can also find various Beatles recordings from the same years. Even here, here themselves can't decide for sure whether all this was banned or not (they write "possibly" instead). And yet, they write all this with such confidence, as if everything written here is the confirmed truth, and not controversial statements based on unsubstantiated and biased articles from the Internet. Actually, even on the band's official website, it's basically written that everything was normal with them and they worked well in the 70s and 80s, performing at festivals, participating in music recordings, and even participating in contributing music to individual films and cartoons. Ideological or any other restrictions are mentioned on the band's website without any specifics or detailed information.
