Production
[edit]When producing the bonus video for the anime Stratos 4, "Project Z" is the story of how to make "Oyajis make something at the expense of everything" like "Project X". Planning begins.[1] Producer Tomohisa Iizuka was told by Bandai Visual Kiyoshi Sugiyama to be directed by Katsuhiko Nishijima to create stupid works.[2] Since the 3D robot "MS Venus" appearing in the above bonus image received on the inner ring, it will produce a 3D robot thing, and as a studio Fantasia, a plan book will be compiled from the idea that girls are not the main characters In response to the director's desire to change the title, the script was proposed by the screenwriter Hiroshi Yamaguchi, and the title was Kirameki.[1]
Studio Fantasia's past work Agent Aika and Najica Blitz Tactics. It is a work with a different atmosphere, so when Iizuka had various antennas, Hiroshi Yamaguchi was found, and the composition and script could be entrusted. Takeshi Mori, who mediates the request, is used as a supervisor. The character design used was Yoko Kikuchi, who had returned to Studio Fantasia from Rumbling Hearts.[2]
At the beginning of the project, the fathers were the fathers, and after solidifying the design of Big Mighty, they set up characters and made stories, but later changed to the form of three daughters vs. fathers. The story resembles that of fathers who have been oppressed by their families and challenge their daughters with giant robots. The role of the protagonist became a puppet, leaving a distance between her daughter and her father, and the settings were elaborated.[3] The involvement of the mori increased the "father density", and eventually pulled it back. It is said that Mori thought a lot of ideas about the hot parts and sorrows of his father, but if he puts too much of his father on the whole surface, it would not be feasible as a work, so it is said that only about one third of this idea remains in the main part.[4]
