Kim Min-kyu (actor) → Kim Min Gue – WP:KOREANNAME: He is referred to both as Kim Min-kyu and Kim Min-gue but his personal preference appears to be Min Gue based on his Instagram profile . Also open to moving to Kim Min-gue. orangesclub 🍊 19:05, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

Support Kim Min Gue. I'm aware of WP:KOREANNAME (I'm one of the primary authors of it), but lately I'm feeling increasingly inclined to respecting the personal preferences of the people. It's bizarre how often we ignore Korean people's own preferred or legal spellings, when that doesn't really happen for people of other countries.
