@Muffinbutt1985: The phrase "young son" appearing in the lead is a vague term for describing the actual age of a child such as Isa Dare, who was only four-years old at the time of the January 2016 video that he appeared in. While the article mentions that he was a four-year old, the lead doesn't. Readers ought to be clearly informed of just how young Isa Dare was in January 2016, as the term "young child" is open to misinterpretation as it could mean a child up to the age of 8 years, or perhaps even more depending on the reader's background. The number "four" is much clearer. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 23:04, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Let me know if you find anything else that needs improvement. I just started writing Wikipedia articles last fall and feel very new and inexperienced at this. Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 23:17, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
One thing I did notice that there is no redirect from the bold alternative name of Grace Dare, because that name is already a redirect to a different person who used the name as a pseudonym. I am not thinking about disturbing that arrangement at this stage. But because there are now two articles that potentially need redirects from the same title, a Disambiguation page might be useful in the future. However, at this stage, as there are only two articles perhaps all that is needed is a hatnote. Not critical, but something to think about, because setting it up the right way is probably going to be complex, and might not even be necessary. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 00:01, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
TBH when I started the entry I wasn't sure whether to call her Grace or Khadijah, since I'm not sure if her name change was legal and many people/accounts called her Grace. The fact that there was already a Grace Dare page settled the matter; I picked Khadijah. I did create a redirect for "Grace Dare (jihadist)". Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 00:53, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Question: I want to create an entry for ISIS member Reyaad Khan, but there is already a Reyaad Khan redirect which refers people to the Wikipedia page for the mosque he attended in Wales. How do I turn the Reyaad Khan redirect into a real page? Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 20:14, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I think he’s notable for multiple events though he may not have been when the redirect to the mosque page was created. He appeared in an ISIS propaganda video (mentioned on the mosque page) in 2014 and in 2017 became very first victim of a targeted airstrike by British forces, which caused much ado as people argued whether the airstrike was legal or not. Yeah it was 2015, I mistook the date because the report on the airstrike came out in 2017 and there were a lot of articles about it at that time. Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 03:06, 28 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
