The most commonly cited equalisation ratio for analgesic doses is 25 mg of ketobemidone hydrobromide to 60 mg of morphine hydrochloride or sulfate and circa 8 mg of ketobemidone by injection.

Analogues

[edit]

The book 'Opiates' by R. Lenz et al discusses the QSAR on page 332 with a 1-6 carbon n-alkyl moiety on the nitrogen. US3043844 'Lower-alkyl 1-[3-(monocarbocyclic-aryl)-2-propenyl]-4-phenyl-4-piperidyl ketones and their preparation'.US3096335 'Lower alkyl 1-(phenylaminoalkyl)-4-phenyl-4-piperidyl ketones' The analog 1-[1-(furan-2-ylmethyl)-4-(3-hydroxyphenyl)piperidin-4-yl]propan-1-one is x15 the potency of the parent compound. The ketone moiety may be replaced with a sulfone bioisostere. YAKUGAKU ZASSHI Vol. 76 (1956) No. 2 P 132-135. Ketobemidone, being a phenolic opioid has quite a different QSAR to the pethidine & prodine class.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.99.74.135 (talk) 22:44, 9 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
