"Because of the particular culture of the research community that has been developing this approach..." What does this mean? It sounds like there are some politics going on, and maybe if someone else had been doing the work, they would have pursued some other approach? (OK, I guess that's likely in any case. But the "culture" reference seems odd, almost POV.) Mcswell 19:14, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Apparently Kernel trick shall be part of this article. I recommend merge Kernel trick into the Application section on this page. IRockStone 17:45, 22 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I agree with the merge proposal. KM related articles on wikipedia are too scattered. --09:18, 26 February 2014 (UTC)  Preceding unsigned comment added by Memming (talkcontribs)
Absolutely, the Kernel trick article must be merged with the general kernel methods article. It makes no sense to have a separate article. The sooner the better. Jerappelle (talk) 01:54, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
I agree. The Kernel Trick always uses Kernel Methods, and the concept is essentially outlined in the Kernel Methods article anyway. User:aenikata:aenikata  Preceding unsigned comment added by Aenikata (talkcontribs) 22:20, 13 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
Completed. I urge everyone who supported the merge to copyedit the resulting page. I also added an informal overview while I was at it. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 18:59, 30 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
