The current article says "He fabricated data in the widely publicized graphene nanoribbon fraud." However, this is not the full story. An investigation of the fraud indicates that Itami had over-site negligence, but did not fabricate data. Itami does bear blame in this matter, however, it was Yuuta Yano (a graduate student of Itami) who fabricated data.
