I would like to propose several improvements to this article in order to address the current maintenance tags (notability, sourcing, and structure).
I am aware of Wikipedia’s conflict of interest guidelines and therefore prefer to suggest these changes here rather than editing the article directly.
1. Academic reception (philosophy)
[edit]The book *Bergson. La création de soi par soi* has received attention in academic literature.
- It is discussed in: *Early Modern and Modern Transformative Philosophies*, Springer (2024). - A review by Jean-Jacques Guinchard was published in *L’Œil de Minerve* (2013):
https://blog.ac-versailles.fr/oeildeminerve/index.php/post/24/05/2013/Karl-SARAFIDIS
2. Film activity and critical coverage
[edit]Karl Sarafidis appears in Bruno Dumont’s film *Hadewijch* (2009), where he plays one of the main characters, Nassir.
His role is explicitly mentioned in several independent reviews:
- The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2012/feb/16/hadewijch-review - Screen Daily: https://www.screendaily.com/hadewijch-/5005602.article - Thinking Faith: https://www.thinkingfaith.org/articles/film_20091127_4.htm - Time Out: https://www.timeout.com/movies/hadewijch-2
The film and his role are also discussed in an academic article:
- Hommes & Migrations (OpenEdition): https://journals.openedition.org/hommesmigrations/475
3. Media presence
[edit]Sarafidis is interviewed as a philosophy teacher in:
- Nice-Matin (2019):
https://www.nicematin.com/societe/education/bac-2019-deux-professeurs-de-philosophie-decryptent-un-des-sujets-de-la-filiere-es-390402
Goal
[edit]The aim of these proposals is to:
- improve sourcing with independent references - document both academic and film-related activities - introduce verifiable reception - help resolve the current maintenance tags
All sources are independent and publicly accessible.
I would be grateful for feedback from other editors before any changes are made. Heideggeris (talk) 20:54, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
