Mongolian and Central Asian origin

[edit]

Kaan comes from Khan. Khan is Mongolian and Central Asian title for rulers. Kingfrombulgaria10 (talk) 10:24, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please cite a reliable source for that. Graham87 (talk) 18:45, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Even in the wikipedia page it says alternatively spelled as Khagan and Khagan has Mongolian origin too. You can look the page.

Wikipedia is not a reliable source for itself. Graham87 (talk) 17:53, 5 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

That is not a reliable source. It lists Wikipedia and Google Translate as sources (probably among others), so it cannot be reliable here. Graham87 (talk) 20:03, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
If you look at it with that logic, the other things written on the page are also not reliable. I am waiting your reliable source for all article lol. Kingfrombulgaria10 (talk) 10:50, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Even in article it says altenatively spelled as 'Khagan' and it has Mongolian origin too.🤦‍♂️ Kingfrombulgaria10 (talk) 10:53, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yeah this isn't the best-sourced Wikipedia article out there. Don't make it worse. Graham87 (talk) 20:03, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

Khan Kgahan Kaan all comes from Mongolia. https://www.behindthename.com/element/kaan Name kagan is turkish but kaan is definitely mongolian, it clearly comes from khan title which means ruler in central asian countries in old timesKaan cohen449 (talk) 07:46, 4 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

bulgarian origin

[edit]

It comes from old Bulgarian ruler name/title "KAN (КАН)" which used in 1st Bulgarian Empire. In Bulgaria it not very common name to see but it can exist. ~2025-32041-17 (talk) 22:31, 7 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
