Head

Carried her own head?

"Bana felt her underclothes and found them moist, whereupon he immediately struck off her head. A spring of water appeared at the spot. Juthwara then carried her head back to the church."

So, her head was struck off and then a well sprung up and then, beheaded and assumingly then very dead, she carried back her own head to a church? This makes no sense at all so I just wondered if the text was actually entered correctly here or if there had been some error.

It's called a miracle. This particular miracle was very common amongst holy cephalophores. Walgamanus 21:17, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Legend makes absolutely no sense

Setting aside the "miracle', what in the hecking heck is the logic in the story? What did the cheese do? Imitate lactation? Was this an honor killing? Was that common and accepted practice at that time (whenever it was) and place or was it anomalous? Also, from what source of income was she giving alms? How old was she? Why is she considered a martyr and not just a plain old murder victim who happened to be devout?
