@Wire723, your recent edit of 17:13, 22 July 2026 has removed a significant amount of key detail from this article, which has unfortunately made the article less informative as a result. Your reason was that the now deleted material was copied from one of the sources, however by deleting it and not replacing it with an improvement, this article has lost a lot of detail about a key event in this person's life (their gallantry medals). I would personally say that the material in question was not plagiarised/copied, but having relied on one source, was inevitably going to follow both the structure and the facts of the source material. May I suggest a more constructive response, involving adapting the material and keeping the necessary details and facts (or even finding more sources), rather than a simple deletion? Otherwise, it seems to me that this edit is rather unconstructive and should be reverted. Yddraigwen (talk) 10:59, 25 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
For copyright reasons we don't copy large amounts of text from sources (Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing). While deleting I copied the important details and links into the paragraph describing Bellman's wartime service. You are welcome to summarise the Dekho source using your own words if it will help the reader understand this person's life. -- Wire723 (talk) 13:07, 25 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
