Hello. I am Jaya Chakrabarti, the subject of this article, so I have a conflict of interest and am not editing it directly. Parts of the article are out of date or unclear, and I would be grateful if an uninvolved editor could review the proposed revision below. All additions are supported by independent or official sources, cited inline.
Summary of proposed changes:
- Corrections: my term as President of Bristol Chamber of Commerce & Initiative ran from 2021 to 2023 (the article says I am still President); my research fellowship at the University of Northampton has ended; I no longer chair Bristol Manifesto. Fixes the typo "born In Watford".
- Additions: education (BSc Physics 1993, MSc Advanced Electronic Materials 1994, University of Bristol); honorary Doctor of Science from the University of Bristol (2023); chair of the A Mayor for Bristol campaign (2010-2012); first female and first ethnic minority President in the Chamber's history (founded 1823); Non-Executive Member of the NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (from 2022); trustee of Bristol Future Talent Partnership; NatWest WISE100 listing (2019); founding dates of Nameless Media Group (1999) and Semantrica/TISCreport (2014); an attributed description of my work in digital activism, open data and human rights advocacy.
- Structure: adds an infobox and splits the text into Early life and education, Career, Civic and public roles, Honours and Personal life.
Proposed revision follows. Thank you for considering it. Jaya Chakrabarti (talk) 10:59, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
