Was Jack Goldberg white? We need a citation. I found a newspaper photo (of the correct era) of "Jack Goldberg" who appeared to be Black, but I was unsure if it was the same person.

Goldberg was married in c. 1929 to Mamie Smith, a famous Black woman. Only a few years after the notorious 1925 Rhinelander v. Rhinelander trial about an interracial marriage in NYC (a white and "mulatto" marriage). The Goldberg–Smith marriage would have been newsworthy at the time, if he was white? I found a citation supporting the claim of Goldberg being white and Jewish.^[1]
