Etymology section

[edit]

Etymology section is incoherent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.139.86.185 (talk) 22:57, 30 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Whoever wrote the etomology section doesn't understand what the word means -- at all. 痛 has multiple meanings and the definition that is most relevant here is that it's used to describe a profound, deep and aching desire, a longing for something to the point of it being painful, and that's how it's used here in this phrase. The car is to demonstrating something you care deeply about. It has NOTHING to do with cringy or being painful to look at! I want to delete that whole section and re-write it.  Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-28010-75 (talk) 17:03, 8 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
