IHE definition

The description of IHE in this article is not optimal. The difficulty is that the DoD (Navy in particular) and DOE have different definitions for the term. The situation is further complicated by the DoD term "Insensitive Munition," which is a system-level description and not specifically a description of the energetic material(s) within the munition. DOE will give an IHE designation to explosives, explosive mixtures, nuclear weapon subassemblies, and nuclear weapons if testing and qualification criteria are met. Without taking on an entire rewrite, I added a couple sentences describing the DOE definition of IHE. DoktorScience (talk) 22:33, 16 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
