Population

[edit]

It says that the population at the time of the earthquake was 100. Anyone have any idea what it is now? Nzseries1 (talk) 10:43, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

2001 census data is here. Not sure what Statistics NZ has done with the 2006 data. -- Mattinbgn\talk 10:58, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Earthquake

[edit]

Removed this because the 2009 Fiordland earthquake was significantly bigger (although less damaging) than the 2010 canterbury quake mentioned here.

No larger on-land earthquake subsequently occurred in New Zealand until the 7.1 magnitude earthquake near Christchurch on 4 September 2010.[1]Andrewgprout (talk) 09:46, 21 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
